Following the Supreme Court’s ruling in Hayes and Palombo, the SFO has announced that the convictions of five more traders may be unsafe. This includes Alex Pabon, represented by Tom Allen KC, leading Nick James of 33 Chancery Lane and instructed by John Milner of Constantine Law. An application to the CCRC to refer the case to the Court of Appeal on the basis of ‘inaccurate and unfair’ directions had already been made prior to the SFO’s concession.
