Jonathan Barnard secured a full acquittal earlier this year for Robert Hallett, former director of Alstom Network Ltd, charged by the SFO alongside the company and other individuals with bribery and corruption offences. The jury retuned unanimous verdicts of not guilty on 10th April. There were subsequent trials from the same investigation which meant reporting restrictions were applied until the trials had concluded.
